Protecting families, finances and furry friends!

The first month of 2016 will end this weekend. One in three people give up on their goals by the end of January. Don’t be one of those three people who give up! If you made a goal to be more organized, there is still time to accomplish this! Estate Planning is important for every person and will help with financial and organizational goals.

Preparing an Estate Plan means a review of both your financial information and your family situation.

  1. Review account titles. Does that joint tenancy accomplish what you real intentions are? Have you made sure your beneficiary designations are current?
  2. Has there been a major change in your life? Birth? Death? Marriage? Divorce? New Job? Retirement? Purchased a home? Sold a home? Moved?
  3. Have you provided for minor children and/or beneficiaries who have special needs?
  4. Do you want privacy in your estate plan documents? Consider a Trust which is not public, unlike a Will.
  5. Are there charities you want to gift assets to after your death?
  6. Have you provided for your four-legged friends?

You have 11 more months to accomplish those goals you made for 2016. Check off the Estate Planning goal and contact our office today for a free consultation!
