David P. Cressy has been sentenced to two years probation for spying on his ex-wife’s cellphone.
Cressy admitted to placing the SpyBubble program on his wife’s cellphone. The program allowed him to intercept text and voicemail messages and also record both audio and video conversations through the phone’s microphone and camera. He recorded hundreds of text messages and phone calls. In June, he pled guilty to one count of intercepting electronic and oral communications.
SpyBubble can be legally obtained and allows a phone to be controlled without the user’s knowledge.
