Protecting families, finances and furry friends!

An ethical will, or legacy letter, is a way to convey personal information you would like your family and friends to know either before or after your death. Because an ethical will is not a legal document that distributes your estate, it can be in any type of format: handwritten, typed or even scrapbooked. The point of an ethical will is to leave things you want your family and friends to remember you by.

Some examples of what people include in an ethical will include: memories, advice, stories and explanations (including why you have crafted your legal Estate Plan the way you did). The ethical will is meant to comfort and encourage loved ones left behind. It is important to take care of your finances, but it is equally important to give your loved ones something to treasure after their loss.
