This cash value can eventually be surrendered to invest into an annuity for your retirement benefit. Not interested in an annuity? The cash value can be utilized to cover any unforeseen expenses. Unlike a loan which carries an interest that is to be paid off, the cash accumulation in the whole life policy does not charge interest. It is your money, it can be used for whatever you deem necessary.
