At least two cases are being considered in where Illinois’s Eavesdropping Statute was found unconstitutional. However, Representative Elaine Nekritz said that she would consider sponsoring another bill if no movement is made by the courts. So far, she has tried twice to change the law.
The most recent was House Bill 1263. However, after 15 minutes of debate, the Bill was withdrawn.
